Integrative Psychotherapy in Enfield and Online

Initial Consultation

I believe it’s essential for you to feel comfortable with your choice of therapist. That’s why I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation before we begin our work together. During this call, we can discuss what has brought you to therapy, and I will explain my approach. You will have the opportunity to ask any questions, and together, we can determine if we are a good fit. This initial conversation helps ensure you feel confident moving forward with our therapeutic relationship.

My Approach

As an integrative therapist, I utilise various therapeutic approaches to develop a method that best suits your needs. Think of it as having access to a toolbox filled with different tools from which we can choose the most effective at any time. Some individuals benefit from exploring past experiences to understand how they shape their present, while others prefer focusing on practical strategies to manage current challenges.

I combine elements from cognitive-behavioural therapy, person-centred counselling, and psychodynamic approaches. This means we may work on recognising your thought patterns and behaviours while delving into more profound emotional experiences and past relationships that influence your current situation.

The key is to collaborate to find the most helpful approach for you.

How I Work

I offer both online and in-person therapy sessions, with online therapy being the primary mode of my practice. Each session lasts 50 minutes and provides a confidential space to explore your concerns.

Online therapy is a flexible and effective way to access support. You can participate in sessions from the comfort of your own space, making it ideal for those with busy schedules, frequent travel, or a preference for avoiding commutes. Many clients find opening up in familiar surroundings easier, and online sessions ensure consistent support regardless of location or mobility needs. Whether we meet online or in person, you'll receive the same therapeutic care and attention.

I also offer in-person sessions in Enfield for those who prefer face-to-face contact. Whether we meet online or in person, my commitment to providing a warm, confidential, and supportive environment remains the same.

Counselling and Psychotherapy: What's the Difference?

While "counselling" and "psychotherapy" are often used interchangeably, they have subtle differences. Counselling typically addresses specific current issues and tends to be shorter-term. In contrast, psychotherapy generally involves a deeper exploration of long-standing patterns and may last longer. Both approaches provide valuable opportunities for personal growth and healing. I am trained in both methods, allowing us to tailor our work to meet your needs.
